Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) cut the ribbon on the Monon Station Indoor Playground Friday afternoon at the Monon Community Center (MCC), 1235 Central Park Drive West.

Monon Station will not open to the public until June 27 as CCPR assesses operating hours. Childcare services are unaffected by this change.

Dignitaries from the City of Carmel, Clay Township, the CCPR Board, and Luckey Climber, the creative team behind the playground’s innovative design, were on hand to celebrate the opening.

Monon Station is a vibrant, imaginative play space designed for children of all ages. Highlights include the signature Luckey Climber, LiteZilla, Dream Tree, and a variety of STEM-based activities providing endless opportunities for hands-on exploration and creative play.

Replacing the MCC’s former KidZone, Monon Station will also serve as the designated space for childcare services, continuing to offer complimentary care exclusively for members. While access is free for members, guests are welcome to enjoy the space with the purchase of a day pass during normal operating hours.
