Fishers 3rd, Westfield 4th at state Unified track

The Fishers Unified track & field team placed third at the IHSAA state meet, which took place last Saturday at North Central.

The Tigers, runners-up last year, scored 100 points. Westfield finished a close fourth with 99 points, the best ever finish for the Shamrocks at Unified state.

Fishers picked up two individual heat wins at the meet. Crysta Coble was first in Heat 1 of the 100 dash, while Aaron Schooley won Heat 7 of the 400 dash.

Westfield had four heat winners. Kolton King placed first in Heat 1 of the 400, Kian Moainie won Flight 4 of the long jump, Owen Lutomski was first in Heat 6 of the long jump and Dilan Cabrera-Pacheco won Flight 6 of the shot put.
