Boys lacrosse: Golden Eagles win all-county game

The Guerin Catholic boys lacrosse team won an all-county game over Westfield 15-8 on Friday.

The Golden Eagles led 3-2 after one quarter, then took over in the second period, outscoring the Shamrocks 5-0 for an 8-2 lead.

Luke Shrift led the Guerin Catholic scoring with five goals, followed Dominic Elliott and Vinny Elliott with three goals each. Gavin Soucie and J.B. Ford both scored two goals, with Soucie dishing out four assists. Dominic Elliott had three assists.

Soucie led the ground balls with seven, while Max Abell collected six ground balls. Dominic Elliott, John Stordy and Jack Hubbard all had five ground balls.

Theo Dager scored three goals for Westfield, with Keegan Krupp adding two goals. Trevor Humburg, Daniel Sherman and Landon Clark all had one goal. Hunter Jones collected nine ground balls, with Dager getting four ground balls.
