Dear Editor:

Let’s take a moment to offer heartfelt thanks to the first responders who insured the safety and security of us all during the Great Storm of 2025.

While most of us headed for the basement when the tornado warnings went viral, our police, fire, and city roads and streets crews took to the streets to serve the community.

We take these folks too much for granted.

They are everyday heroes and we’re fortunate to have them with us.
