Some things ARE carved in stone, including pottery by Cathy Cozart.

Meet the Westfield artist as she demonstrates her creative process and then hands you the tools and clay to give it a try. This free, drop-in 2nd SaturDate event is from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery, 22 N. Range Line Road, Carmel.

Designs reflect the ceramicist’s love for the tactile nature of clay art.

“I want the user (of her pieces) to enjoy the feel of each finger curved around a handle or the weight balancing beautifully in his/her hands,” Cozart said.
