MTS US, an Italian-based motorsport school, is set to launch its first U.S. location in Indianapolis in May. The school offers hands-on weekend courses for anyone interested in becoming a racing mechanic or data engineer.
MTS School is woman-owned and woman-founded by Eugenia Capanna, a professional driver and racing team manager. The school has successfully placed 80 percent of its graduates into racing teams around the globe like F1, MotoGP, and IndyCar. The curriculum teaches practical skills and technical knowledge with a blend of classroom-instruction and real-world experience, on real race cars, both in the shop and on the track. Courses are led by motorsport industry pros whose experience ranges from engine assembly to machine and team management.
“We’re thrilled to bring MTS’s expertise to the United States, and Indianapolis is the perfect location for our first U.S. facility,” Capanna said. “This city has an unmatched passion for motorsport, and a high demand for skilled mechanics and engineers. We have a proven track record of placing our students with teams globally, and are excited to continue this success in the United States.”
The first round of MTS courses is set to begin in May, with a second round following in August.
“Indianapolis is the epicenter of American motorsport and having MTS School establish a presence here is a fantastic development for the local racing community,” says Stefano DePonti, CEO of Dallara USA, which has a factory in Speedway, just a stone’s throw from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “The Dallara Group is committed to helping support the next generation of motorsport professionals, and MTS’ dedication to producing highly skilled mechanics and race technicians in an important piece of that.”

Eugenia Campanna has dedicated her life to motorsports, from race driver to building a motorsports school in Italy. I met her through Cindy Sisson of WWIDV. Eugenia is impressive. She is bringing her energy to my home state, IN. She will launch her first location in the U.S in Indianapolis in May. Thank you Mike Good, President of PRI, for making this introduction. SEMA and PRI have yet again created an important connection making things better for our industry. Many thanks for Mike Good and Mike Spagnola for all you do.
