The center includes several groundbreaking features that will be the first of their kind in Fishers, including the city’s first public indoor track; central Indiana’s first Aquatics NINJACROSS System; and one of Fishers’ largest indoor playgrounds, a two-story 5,300 square-foot playspace. Some of these offerings are exclusively for members, while others will be available for free to everyone through a registration system.
Exclusively for members
- Aquatics Center featuring Aquatics NINJACROSS Course: The center will feature the first indoor Aquatics NINJACROSS System in central Indiana. This unique system, inspired by the show America Ninja Warrior, challenges users to overcome obstacles above, below, and on the water. The course will be part of the 9,800 square-foot aquatics center, featuring a 25-yard lap pool, AquaClimb wall, enclosed water slide, a zero-depth entry warm water pool with interactive play and splash features, and an on-deck sauna.
- Wellness Center: An 11,000 square-foot wellness center will be located on the second floor of the facility. This space will act as the fitness hub of the Fishers Community Center, offering more than 50 state-of-the-art cardio machines from Matrix and Life Fitness, an EGYM Strength Circuit 11-piece tech-enabled system, two group exercise studios, a cycle studio, and a 20-by-48-foot turf area for functional training and stretching. Group exercise classes will also be included with membership.
- Free childcare: Family memberships include up to two hours of free childcare per day for all children on the membership plan (ages six weeks to 12 years). The childcare center will feature separate, age specific areas with a variety of interactive and educational activities.
- Indoor sports courts: The center will feature an 18,600 square-foot sports court area including three 50-by-84-foot full-size basketball courts that can convert into six cross basketball courts, three volleyball courts, and up to nine pickleball courts.
- Dog park: The Fishers Community Center will be home to two dog parks (a half-acre park for small dogs and a 1.5-acre park for large dogs), ensuring that pets can enjoy safe and engaging playtime with others of similar size. Both areas of the park will have shade, nighttime lighting, security cameras, water fountains, trash receptacles, waste stations, and benches. Separate memberships for the dog park will be available for purchase this spring.
Free for everyone
- First public indoor track: The Fishers Community Center will feature the first public indoor walking/running track in the city, a top-requested feature identified in a resident survey taken in 2021. Overlooking the lower-level gymnasium, this one-ninth-mile track will provide year-round space for walkers and runners.
- Two-story indoor playground: The indoor playground, comparable in size to the playground at Brooks School Park, will offer 5,300 square feet of state-of-the-art, interactive play space. Highlights include low-climbing play features, a dedicated toddler zone, and a custom-designed two-story play structure complete with tunnel slides.
- Sahm’s Community Café: A 2,600 square-foot cafe operated by Sahm’s Hospitality Group will be housed on the first floor of the Fishers Community Center. This space will offer a welcoming spot to gather, relax, and recharge. Along with the cafe, other gathering spaces will be available to the public including a one large multi-purpose room and three smaller multi-purpose rooms.
