Swimming: Southeastern hosts Reserve Championships, gets several wins

The Hamilton Southeastern swim team hosted the Reserve State Meet last Saturday.

The Royals welcomed teams from Noblesville, Westfield and Zionsville to the event. Southeastern picked up several wins, including eight in the girls meet. Molly Hultgren was a double winner in the 200 and 500 freestyles.

Also placing first for HSE: Kaavya Patel in the individual medley, Juli Goss in the butterfly, Hayden Bunch in the backstroke, Scarlett Fanger in the breaststroke, and the medley and 200 free relays.

The Shamrocks’ Carly Herring won the diving event. The Millers’ Stella Cramer placed second in the IM.

Southeastern picked up six wins in the boys meet. Carter Nelsen was a double winner in the 200 free and butterfly. Also winning were Joseph Justice in diving, Clive Bourff in the backstroke, Aiden Stivers in the breaststroke and the Royals’ medley relay.
