Sheridan boys basketball is off to a great start to the season, winning 11 of their first 14 games.
A big reason for that start is their senior point guard, Caleb Wright. Wright is averaging over 15 points per game and leads the team in assists and steals.
Wright has reached some huge career milestones this season as well. He recently set the program’s all-time steals record and scored his 1,000th career point.
“He does it all,” Sheridan boys basketball coach Bill Bowen said. “That’s the best answer I could give you. He leads by example. I said his work ethic is unmatched. And I think other kids see that, especially the younger kids.”
“It’s awesome to be put on the walls and stuff, but just a lot of credit to my teammates and coaches for helping me do it,” Wright said.
He’ll continue his career at Indiana Tech next season.
Sheridan is looking for its first sectional championship since 1983 this season.
Their next game is on the road against Taylor, who is currently undefeated in Hoosier Heartland Conference play.
