Boys basketball: Scecina proves to be no match for Golden Eagles

The Guerin Catholic boys basketball team took care of Scecina 60-23 Tuesday at the Eagles Nest.

The Class 3A No. 3 Golden Eagles outscored the Crusaders in each quarter, leading 12-8 after the first period and 26-11 at halftime. Guerin Catholic then cruised through the second half, outscoring Scecina 34-12.

Bryson Cardinal led the Golden Eagles with his usual double-double, 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Grissom and Ryne Paris both scored 10 points. Grissom also made five steals.

Guerin Catholic is 15-2 and plays at Lafayette Central Catholic on Friday.
