Guerin Catholic’s boys basketball team put together a dominant Senior Night performance on Friday, beating Bishop Chatard 71-34 in a girls-boys doubleheader at the Eagles Nest.
It was also the first Circle City Conference game of the season for the Golden Eagles. Guerin Catholic got that opening league win easily, outscoring the Trojans in each quarter. The Golden Eagles led 15-8 after the opening period and 37-17 at halftime.
Senior Bryson Cardinal led all scorers with 31 points. Cardinal scored at least five points during each period, pouring in 13 points in the second quarter alone. Jake Grissom added 10 points, while senior Jack Toles scored seven. Ten of the 13 GC players that took to the floor scored at least two points.
Guerin Catholic is 11-2 and travels to Heritage Christian this afternoon to continue CCC play.
