Blackhawks keep streak going with conference victory

Sheridan kept its winning streak rolling on Thursday, traveling to Rossville and coming home with a 66-42 Hoosier Heartland Conference victory.

The Blackhawks easily kept their perfect HHC record intact at 3-0. Sheridan led 19-8 after the first period, with Kenzie Garner scoring nine points.

The second quarter belonged to Shelby Eaton. She nailed five 3-pointers during that period, helping the ‘Hawks to extend their lead to 42-22 at halftime. Sheridan held a 51-31 advantage after three quarters, then a 15-point fourth quarter clinched the game for the Blackhawks.

Eaton threw in one more triple in the fourth, giving her six for the game. She finished with 20 points. Garner added 18 points while Cecilia Timme scored 11 points.

Sheridan is 7-1 overall and returns home on Tuesday to host Tri-West.
