Skate your way through winter in Westfield

The Ice Ribbon at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St., Westfield, opened for its second season last Saturday, Nov. 23. Attendees enjoyed a live DJ, caricature artists and food vendors including DonutNV, Tapestry Coffee, and Almost Paradise Farm.

Skating sessions will run Thursday through Saturday; times can be found below. All skate sessions are 90 minutes in length and reservations must be made online. The ticket price for ages 11 and over is $12 per skate session. For ages 10 and under, the price is $10 per skate session. This cost includes your skate rental fee; processing fees are not included. Skate aids will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for no additional fee.

Skate sessions

  • Thursdays: 4 to 5:30 p.m.; 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Fridays: 4 to 5:30 p.m.; 6 to 7:30 p.m.; 8 to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: noon to 1:30 p.m.; 2 to 3:30 p.m.; 4 to 5:30 p.m.; 6 to 7:30 p.m.; 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Parking is available west of Park Street and Poplar Boulevard in two parking lots and designated on-street spots on Jersey, Mill, and Park streets. Accessible parking spaces are available on Mill Street.
