Mary Lou Green

July 1, 1934 – November 14, 2024

Mary Lou Green, 90, Noblesville, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving children on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born on July 1, 1934, to Fred and Dorothy (Abston) Sherrill in Crab Orchard, Tenn.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and love for the Lord. Mary was a seamstress for Aero Drapery in Jolietville, then retired from Indiana Mills in Westfield. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her yard. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Green and Doug (Louanne) Green; daughter, Donna Green; grandchildren, Jacob, Brock, Hailey, Chris, Josh, Casey, Tiffany, and Sean; great-grandchildren, Saya, Colton, Memphis, Sawyer, and Landon; and siblings, Charles (Kris) Sherrill, Patricia Swicegood, and Elizabeth (Tom) Couse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Donald Conrad Green; and siblings, Clarence Sherrill, James “Jim” Sherrill, Yvonne Norman, Glen Sherrill, and Kenneth Sherrill.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Burial will be at Dogwood Cemetery in Grandview, Tenn., at a later date.
