Register now for Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse & Suicide fundraiser

September is suicide awareness month, and The Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse & Suicide (ICPYAS) will hold a crucial fundraiser this Thursday, Sept. 12 to help fund prevention education efforts in local schools.

Located at Daniel’s Vineyard, 9061 N. County Road 700 West, McCordsville, which is renowned for its serene atmosphere and community spirit, the event will feature an exciting trivia competition hosted by the popular Hambone’s Trivia, alongside a variety of engaging activities and opportunities to support this vital cause. While the event is to support a serious issue, the evening will be a perfect blend of fun and philanthropy with a focus on the hope that there is a brighter future when the community comes together.

“While this work can be heavy, I never lose sight of hope,” ICPYAS Executive Director Melissa Peregrin said. “We have data that says our work matters, and we also have a steadfast belief that zero suicide is not too lofty to reach for.”

Last year, ICPYAS provided Signs of Suicide training to seven area schools, resulting in connecting nearly 70 kids to caring, qualified care. Likewise, the center offers suicide prevention education to adults through the QPR program. In 2024 over 250 individuals took advantage of this free program.

In addition to the trivia competition, the evening will feature a silent auction with a variety of exciting items, light appetizers, and a special selection of Daniel’s Vineyard wines. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with community members, learn more about all the prevention work done at the Indiana Center for prevention, and support an important cause while enjoying a memorable night out.

Tickets are available now and can be purchased at icpyas.wedoauctions.com. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Erin Leraris at erin@indianaprevention.org or by calling (317) 840-4875.
