Merchants Bank announced on Wednesday the hiring of Francisco Guzman as an Affordable Lending Loan Officer, based out of the company’s headquarters in Carmel.
Guzman brings with him mortgage origination experience gained while serving clients located in Indiana and Florida. His recent roles in the mortgage industry were at American Financial Network and America’s Mortgage Professionals, where he focused on generating leads for local Spanish-speaking realtors and fostering the growth of self-sourced Spanish-speaking businesses.
In his new position, Guzman will advise clients and prospects on their home financing needs, offering a range of mortgage options tailored to their specific circumstances. Given his background, Guzman will play a valuable role in supporting Spanish-speaking customers through the process of obtaining financial assistance as they pursue home ownership. Adding to the versatility of the growing Merchants team, Guzman also brings experience from the manufacturing industry, having held positions at Synthetic Evolutions and Energy Harness.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Francisco to our originations team,” said Jerry Koors, President of Merchants Mortgage, the mortgage division of Merchants Bank. “His addition will infuse fresh perspectives and energy into our team as we strive to continue to make Merchants a true reflection of the communities we serve.”
Guzman attended Wabash College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in philosophy.
