Noblesville kicking off Total Solar Eclipse with weekend full of events

Noblesville is gearing up to witness a celestial phenomenon as it prepares to hold a series of events surrounding the highly anticipated Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8. Mark your calendars to enjoy a weekend of local events leading up to this once-in-a-lifetime event.

“Noblesville is excited to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event with a Total Solar Eclipse passing through our community,” Mayor Chris Jensen said. “We have been planning for this unique event and look forward to a weekend of celebration in Noblesville. Be prepared for an increase in visitors to Hamilton County, stay safe, and have fun!”

Friday, April 5

Noblesville Main Street will hold its monthly First Friday in downtown Noblesville with the Total Eclipse Kickoff from 4 to 8 p.m. Highlights of the event include merchant discounts, crafts and activities for the whole family, selfie stations, and a window decorating contest. Saturday, April 6

The City of Noblesville and the Noblesville Parks & Recreation Department present a Preclipse Party at Federal Hill Commons from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission to this event is free, and the hosts will give away 5,000 eclipse glasses, live music from the band Living Proof from 3 to 5 p.m., eclipse expert Keith Turner, food trucks, games, bounce houses, and photo ops. Sunday, April 7

Join Noblesville Creates (NC) for the Artclipse Festival on the Historic Hamilton County Courthouse lawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include live entertainment and interactive art projects led by local arts organizations. NC and local artists will also have art and mementos for sale, including an exclusive Stuart Sayger local eclipse-themed cover for a Betty & Veronica comic book. Monday, April 8 (Eclipse Day!)

Ruoff Music Center is Noblesville’s signature site for total solar eclipse viewing. The Total Eclipse Tailgate will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden, and on-site activities, including an inflatable obstacle course, a special guest speaker from NASA, and a DJ-inspired dance party. Moon Market at Strawtown Koteewi Park from noon to 5 p.m.: All registered attendees will receive a pair of eclipse viewing safety glasses, you can purchase eclipse-themed crafts, eclipse expert Keith Turner will be on site, live music, and more. Tickets are available at this link.
