Hamilton Heights fell to Yorktown 64-53 Friday in the first semifinal game at Class 3A Sectional 24 at New Castle.
The Huskies led the Tigers 13-11 after one quarter. Dreydin Serna scored five points, with Tyler Champion and John Irion both adding four. Yorktown took over in the second period, outscoring Heights 21-8 for a 32-21 halftime lead.
The Huskies cut into that lead in the third quarter, pouring in 19 points to get within 45-40. Tillman Etchison and Irion both had seven points in the period. Champion scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers outscored Heights 19-13 in that period to get the win.
Champion led with 19 points, followed by Irion with 18 and Etchison with 11. Champion also had five steals and four rebounds, while Dreydin Serna blocked three shots.
Heights finished its season with a 10-14 record.
