The Westfield Library Foundation (WLF), in partnership with the Westfield Washington Public Library, is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Michael and Karen Heaton Art Gallery Wall. Launched this year, the gallery wall showcases rotating artwork in high-traffic areas throughout the library – near the Rivet Café, along the Atrium staircase, and beside the elevator.

“This space allows us to highlight the incredible talent right here in our own community,” WLF Executive Director Erin Downey said. “We believe public art invites conversation, curiosity, and connection. We are thrilled to once again offer artists the opportunity to share their creativity with the thousands of patrons who walk through our doors every week.”

Artists must be at least 18 years old to apply and must submit a completed application and portfolio by Oct. 1 for consideration in the 2026 exhibit rotation. Art must be display-ready, framed, matted, or otherwise equipped to hang using the library’s hanging system. Artists are also responsible for the installation and removal of their work during their assigned exhibit month.

The Art Gallery Committee will review all submissions and select artists based on quality, originality, and appropriateness for the venue. The committee aims to showcase a variety of media throughout the year, including photography, painting, and mixed media. Alternate artists may be placed on a waitlist and invited to participate if a selected artist cancels.
