The Hamilton Southeastern volleyball team won a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match at Zionsville Thursday in straight sets, 25-20, 25-12, 25-13.
Lauren Hardin led the Royals by hitting 18 kills and serving two aces. Avery Hobson and Lovie Wallace both spiked nine kills, while Delaney Garner had seven kills and two aces.

Southeastern is 3-0 in HCC play and remains unbeaten for the season at 10-0. The Royals will play at the Brebeuf Invite on Saturday.

Fishers also won an HCC match on Thursday, beating Avon in four sets, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22 in a home match.
The Tigers senior outside hitters led the way, with Emily Waldrop hitting 16 kills, including the one that decided the match. Waldrop also had eight digs, four blocks and one ace. Jada Allen had nine kills, two digs and one ace.
“It’s no secret that we’ve got two strong upperclassmen on the outside for us,” said Fishers coach Steven Peek. “And there are moments we have to lean on them to get us successfully out of out-of-system situations. Emily and Jada excelled at that this evening.”
Camryn Haworth dished out 37 assists. After the two outside hitters, Ava Vickers smacked eight kills, Mikayla Carpenter had six and Grace Dunnuck hit three.
On defense, junior libero Samantha Perdue led with 13 digs. Jill Snyder collected nine digs, Haworth had eight and Olivia Lux had seven.
“It’s massive for us to have five players at seven or more digs,” said Peek. “To defend in this conference, and eventually in this Sectional, you’ve got to have your team working cohesively. The players are going to have to execute multiple adjustments to get us across the finish line, and they did that tonight.”
The Tigers are 3-1 in the conference and 15-4 overall. Fishers next plays on Tuesday, when it hosts Hamilton Southeastern in the Mudsock match.
