There’s no place like home for the unbeaten Fishers Tigers.
A perfect 8-0 inside The Jungle before Saturday, Jan. 24, the top-ranked Class 4A Tigers made it 9-0 to complete their back-to-back weekend sweep.
The Tigers (16-0 overall) led 20-8 after the first quarter and 47-21 by halftime to defeat visiting Fort Wayne Carroll, 80-37.
Fishers junior Cooper Zachary propelled the Tigers with a career-performance from 3-point range. The sharp-shooting guard buried his first five 3-pointers to start before sinking a career-high eight 3-pointers overall. Zachary finished with a game-high 28 points.
Senior Kai McGrew had 18 points. Ethan Hillsman added 12 points.
The Tigers posted 20-plus points in each of the first three quarters while holding the visiting Chargers to fewer than 10 points in three of four frames.
Carroll was led by Jack Van Order and Carter Middleton with eight points apiece.
The Tigers travel to Franklin Central on Friday, Jan. 30 for Hoosier Crossroads Conference action before heading to state-ranked Carmel on Saturday, Jan. 31.
