During the Tipton School Board meeting on Aug. 11, several members of the school community were presented with Blue Future Awards.
(ABOVE LEFT) TES Principal Brian Johnson, along with TES AP Sara Wiggington, recognized Wyatt Mendenhall for his perfect IREAD score of 650 during the summer. Shout-out to the teachers who supported his journey to this accomplishment.
(ABOVE CENTER) TMS Principal John Ayars recognized Tanner Scott, 7th-grade social studies teacher, and Megan Pax, art teacher, for their outstanding growth, student-centered classroom practices, extracurricular leadership, and their contributions to building a positive school culture. Scott, now in his fifth year at TMS, also serves as the Student Council sponsor. Pax, beginning her third year, leads the Art Club and continues to enrich the school’s creative community.
(ABOVE RIGHT) THS Teacher Fred Henderson recognized THS Principal Craig Leach for going above and beyond with offering encouragement and support when he needed it most. His contributions to this situation brought unprecedented exposure to the Indiana Donor network. The next school board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Tipton Community School Corporation Administrative Offices, 1051 S. Main St.
