Wellington works hard to be a good friend to all her neighbors. As a representative, she knows that includes even the neighbors who can’t yet vote.

This town hall is an opportunity for the kids of Noblesville, Fishers, and surrounding areas to ask questions and get answers from the person who, even if they aren’t old enough to vote, will represent them in the statehouse.

“Kids have a way of simplifying the issues adults tend to overcomplicate,” Wellington said. “They see what’s going on in the community: in their classrooms, their neighborhoods, and everywhere else. They just don’t usually get asked what they think about it. I want to ask them directly: what’s working, what’s not, and what they need from the people making decisions that impact them. I want every kid in this community to know their voice matters, and I’m genuinely looking forward to learning from them.”

The Kids Town Hall will be centered around the ideals of being a good friend and neighbor to all. It will include local businesses, craft stations, sensory areas, and a time for kids and adults of all ages to come and have their voice heard.

Wellington’s platform is centered on the immediate, practical needs of Indiana families, like:

  • Education First: Implementing legislation that supports evidence-based solutions and fully funded schools. This includes being a supporter of the upcoming referendum vote, also on the November ballot.
  • Every Family Can Afford to Stay: Addressing the rising costs of living with common-sense policies that support working families and local small businesses.
  • Opportunity through Community Engagement: Devon’s campaign is centered on being a good neighbor and an active part of our community. She will bring that same visibility, transparency, and community-embracing spirit to her role in the statehouse, because opportunity starts with someone who actually listens.
