Tigers fall to Panthers, 45-43

Fishers was dealt a tough loss to North Central, falling 45-43 Saturday at the Tiger Den.
The Class 4A No. 7 Tigers jumped out to a 14-7 lead after the first quarter, with Joirdyn Smith scoring five points. The 4A No. 9 Panthers cut that advantage to 29-27 by halftime; Hailey Smith and Olivia Smith each had five points to help keep Fishers in front.
North Central took the lead in the third quarter, going up 39-34 by the end of the period. The Tigers came back to tie the game at 43-43, but the Panthers won by making a basket with 1.5 seconds left.
Olivia Smith led Fishers with 11 points.
The Tigers are 13-4 and host Brownsburg Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
