Spotlight on Art benefits local children through artistic creativity

Local artists come together to support three Hamilton County nonprofits at Ritz Charles in Carmel

Art and philanthropy will come together once again as the fifth annual Spotlight on Art Benefiting Children returns to the Ritz Charles in Carmel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.

The annual event will feature artwork from more than 20 award-winning local artists, with 50 percent of all artwork sales benefiting three organizations making a difference in the lives of local children and families: the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville, Prevail, Inc., and Children’s TherAplay. Guests will enjoy an evening of wine, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres while browsing and purchasing original artwork, all in support of a great cause.

Since its inception, Spotlight on Art Benefiting Children has raised more than $200,000 for the three above-named organizations, bringing together talented artists and community members who share a passion for helping children.

“Spotlight on Art has always been about so much more than the artwork,” Event Founder Esther Lakes said. “It’s about bringing people together who care about children and want to make a difference. Every piece of art purchased helps support organizations that provide care, opportunities and hope to kids and families right here in our community.”

The event has grown into a meaningful annual tradition, offering attendees the opportunity to discover beautiful artwork while supporting organizations that provide essential services to children and families throughout Hamilton County.

The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville provides a safe, positive environment where youth can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Prevail supports individuals and families affected by crime and abuse, while Children’s TherAplay provides innovative physical and occupational therapies for children with disabilities.

“We’re fortunate to have so many talented artists who are willing to share their gifts to support these organizations,” Lakes said. “It’s a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a common purpose.”
