Dear Editor:
I met Devon Wellington while she was campaigning during the Primary election earlier this year. I heard her speak numerous times. One thing that stood out was how kind she was to her opponent. Devon spoke highly of her. This made me think that Devon would be a good team player.
Devon was also very knowledgeable. I really appreciate that her career has been in education policy. She’s not pretending to care about our schools; this has always been her focus! When nine out of 10 Indiana kids are educated through the public schools, I think they need to be a priority for our community.
As I’ve witnessed Devon work tirelessly on her campaign, I know she will do the same for us. Election Day will not be the end for Devon but a beautiful beginning where she can use her influence for good. She will continue to fight for our schools, families, and community. Please join her at any event and ask the hard questions (she does not shy away from them!).
A vote for Devon will be a vote for a brighter future for us and our children.
