Dear Editor:
I’ve known Denise Dye for several years as a friend and fellow volunteer, and I’m proud to support her for the Noblesville School Board.
Volunteering next to someone shows you who they really are. Denise shows up, does the work, and doesn’t need credit for it. She cares about this community because she’s part of it, and she’s spent the last decade making Noblesville home. That’s the kind of person I want representing my neighbors on the school board.
She also brings 24 years of experience in finance and business operations. That’s exactly what we need watching over a school budget this size. She wants every dollar to be easy to follow and wants as much of it as possible to reach the classroom.
Her goals for our schools are simple. Kids should leave able to read, write, and do math well, whether they’re headed to college, the military, a trade, or straight into a job. Good teachers make that happen, and Denise wants to keep the ones we have and back them up. She also believes parents should be able to see what their kids are being taught and how decisions get made.
Above all, Denise understands something that sometimes gets lost: the school board works for the residents of Noblesville, not for the school administration. Board members are elected to ask hard questions on behalf of the families and taxpayers who put them there. Denise will do that.
Early voting is open now, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Please join me in voting for Denise Dye.
