SKYLAKE Adventures has named Kristy Williams as Director of Marketing, expanding the Central Indiana adventure destination’s senior leadership team as it builds on its inaugural season and prepares for year-round operations and continued growth.

Williams brings 15 years of marketing and communications experience spanning the attractions, tourism, science, and education industries, with previous experience at COSI, Cedar Point, and LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Throughout her career, she has led integrated marketing and communications strategies, attraction and experience launches, media relations, digital and social media, partnerships, events, brand storytelling, and audience engagement.

At SKYLAKE Adventures, Williams will lead the organization’s overall marketing and brand strategy, overseeing advertising, digital and social media, public relations, partnerships, creative strategy, and guest-facing communications. As a member of the senior leadership team, she will also help inform pricing, product development, promotions, revenue opportunities, and long-term growth strategy as SKYLAKE Adventures expands from a seasonal attraction into a year-round outdoor destination.

“As we continue building SKYLAKE Adventures, we’ve been intentional about bringing the right people onto our leadership team,” SKYLAKE Adventures Co-Founder Sean “Mouse” Howard said. “Kristy brings experience from some of the most recognized attractions in the country, but what makes her especially valuable is that she understands this community. Having someone with that combination of experience and personal connection helping shape SKYLAKE’s future is exactly what we need as we grow.”

For Williams, the opportunity also represents a return home.

A graduate of Sheridan High School, Williams grew up in Sheridan before attending Purdue University and beginning a career that ultimately took her to major attractions and cultural institutions in Florida and Ohio. Despite living outside Indiana for much of her professional career, Williams maintained close ties to the area and followed SKYLAKE’s development from its earliest stages.

“I’ve been following SKYLAKE Adventures since its inception because it’s not every day someone decides to build an adventure park in your hometown, especially when your hometown is Sheridan, Indiana,” Williams said. “My family is here, and even while my career took me to attractions and organizations in other parts of the country, I’ve continued coming home and watching this area grow and change. To bring the experience I’ve gained throughout my career back to the community where I grew up and help build something that could be part of its future is really special.”

Most recently, Williams served as Director of Communications for COSI in Columbus, Ohio, where she led organization-wide communications and public relations strategy across major exhibits and experiences, educational programming, partnerships, events, and institutional initiatives. She previously held multiple marketing, communications, public relations, digital, and event leadership roles at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, as well as a public relations role at LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Rhetorical Advocacy from Purdue University.

Williams joins SKYLAKE Adventures following a successful inaugural summer season that welcomed more than 50,000 guests and generated more than 5,000 annual pass sales. The destination recently gained national attention through a feature in PEOPLE and announced a partnership with Special Olympics Indiana to host the Indianapolis Polar Plunge events in 2027. SKYLAKE is now preparing to introduce snow tubing, SKY Trails ropes course and additional experiences as it expands into year-round operations.
