Noblesville Schools announced Tuesday that it has appointed new administrative leaders at White River Elementary and North Elementary schools.

Calie VanDermark has been named the new principal at White River, replacing Rebecca Dicus, who is taking a position as curriculum director with the Hamilton Boone Madison County Cooperative. VanDermark served most recently as the assistant principal at North Elementary. Prior to that she was a teacher at White River Elementary and has also served as a U.S. Marine. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Indiana University.

“I am humbled and honored to be returning to White River,” said VanDermark. “As a former teacher there, I know first-hand the innovative and joyful learning that is the fabric of the school. I look forward to reconnecting with staff and parents, and building meaningful relationships within the White River community.”

Angie Gingerich will be stepping into VanDermark’s assistant principal position at North Elementary. Gingerich brings 18 years of experience in education to the role, serving as a Noblesville Schools teacher, instructional coach and coordinator of the Miller Explorers before/after school care program. She holds a master’s degree from Ball State University and a principal licensure from Purdue University.

White River and North parents will receive more information about opportunities over the summer to meet their new leaders, and both VanDermark and Gingerich will be working to ensure a smooth transition for staff and students.
