The IHSAA announced pairings for this year’s baseball sectionals last Sunday.
Noblesville will host Class 4A Sectional 8 this year at Don Dunker Field. In first-round action, the Millers take on Carmel for Game 1, then Westfield and Zionsville will face off for Game 2.
The two first-round winners will meet in the first semifinal. Fishers and defending champion Hamilton Southeastern will play in the second semifinal.
In Class 3A, Guerin Catholic and Hamilton Heights play in Sectional 27 at Brebeuf Jesuit, a five-team sectional. The Golden Eagles and the Huskies will play each other in the opening-round game. The host Braves will take on Bishop Chatard in the first semifinal, with Shortridge playing the Guerin Catholic-Heights winner.
Sheridan hosts Class 2A Sectional 43. The Blackhawks will host University in an all-county game to open the first round, with Cascade taking on Cardinal Ritter in the second opening-round game.
The two first-round winners will meet in the first semifinal, with Covenant Christian and Riverside playing in the second semifinal.
All semifinal winners advance to their respective championship games. Dates and times for all sectionals are being determined.
