Carrie Wing, IU Health North vice president and chief nursing officer, led efforts to welcome Callie to the team in hopes she will provide necessary support to those working at the hospital.

“I love being here,” Wing said. “I want this to be a place where people want to come, and I want it to be unique. So, I think bringing a program like this to this facility does create a uniqueness among our team, brings us together, unites us, and creates a family.”

This is IU Health’s second police therapy canine, and the first to be stationed at IU Health North. K9 Elliott was sworn in earlier this year. He supports team members at IU Health Methodist.
