MOTORVAULT auctions 1987 Buick Regal T-Type to benefit Folds of Honor Indiana

MOTORVAULT has announced the organization is auctioning off a 1987 Buick Regal equipped with the Y56 “T” Package and Buick’s LC2 turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 to raise funds for Folds of Honor Indiana.

Originally headed to MOTORVAULT as a traditional consignment, an unexpected transmission failure set in motion a completely different path. Johnson Melloh Residential donated the car to Indianapolis Cars & Coffee, a longstanding partner of Folds of Honor Indiana. In addition to proceeds from the auction, MOTORVAULT is donating its services and waiving its seller commission in support of the philanthropic effort.

“We are incredibly grateful to MOTORVAULT and Indianapolis Cars & Coffee for turning an unexpected setback into an opportunity to give back,” said Mike Daggett, Folds of Honor Indiana Founder and Executive Director. “We hope whoever brings this Buick home knows they’ve made a difference in the lives of someone in their community affected by loss through service.”

Indianapolis Cars & Coffee partners with local businesses to host car-related events that create a safe, memorable experience for all attendees. Folds of Honor Indiana has been a benefactor of Indianapolis Cars & Coffee events for over four years, and has raised more than $250,000 together to support Folds of Honor Indiana’s mission to provide life-changing educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled military personnel and first responders.

Folds of Honor scholarships are based on unmet need for spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members and first responders, and can cover tuition, fees, on-campus dormitory housing, meal plans and required textbooks. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a 2.0 or higher grade-point average for the two most recent academic terms. For young children not attending private school or secondary education, Future Use Scholarships are available to use at a later date.
