Meyer resigns from Carmel Redevelopment Commission to focus on political campaign

Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard accepted Corrie Meyer’s resignation as Director of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission Monday, Nov. 13. Meyer has been heading the CRC for the past three years.

“I have appreciated Corrie’s dedication to the City’s goals during this very busy period of growth in our redevelopment areas. I understand her desire to now focus on her own political future,” said Mayor Jim Brainard.

“I have enjoyed my time in Carmel, but as I evaluated my path in service to my community, I determined that it was important for me to devote more of my time on the State Senate race for District 29.  I want to use what I have learned in my career to influence positive change, help grow Indiana’s economy and keep our communities safe,” said Meyer.

Mayor Brainard has appointed Henry Mestetsky as interim director for the CRC. Mestetsky has been serving as secretary of that commission. The mayor has appointed Adam Campagna to fill that position on the CRC.

Mestetsky is a Carmel resident and is currently working as an attorney practicing real estate law at Bingham Greenebaum Doll, LLP. Other areas of practice include lending, corporate and litigation. He is a 2010 graduate of the IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree at IU Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis.
