Track and field: Royals sweep Mudsock meet

The Hamilton Southeastern track and field teams swept both parts of the Mudsock meet, which took place Friday night at the Royals’ stadium.

Southeastern won the boys meet 80-52 . Both the Royals and the Tigers won eight events each, but HSE collected 1-2-3 sweeps in the 200 dash, long jump and pole vault. Southeastern also won two relays, the 4×800 and 4×100.

Individual winners for HSE were Mason Alexander (100 dash), Hunter Hoeft (400 dash), Christian Oritz (200 dash), Zach Swedarsky (3200 run), Michael Griffith (long jump) and Connor Langsford (pole vault).

The Tigers got double wins from Tyler Tarter (110 and 300 hurdles), Matthew Kim (1600 and 800 runs) and Joel Gates (discus and shot put). Konrad Hayden won the high jump and Fishers claimed the 4×400 relay.

The Royals won the girls meet 77-55. Southeastern and the Tigers both won eight events in this meet as well, but the Royals also got 1-2-3 sweeps in three events: The 1600 run, 400 dash and 3200 run.

Maggie Powers was an HSE double winner, claiming the 1600 and 3200 runs. Other Royals winners were Anissa Lammie (400 dash), Elia Blackmore (300 hurdles), Ciara Kepner (800 run), EJ Shults (long jump), the 4×800 relay and the 4×400 relay.

Fishers had two double winners: Maya Taylor (100 dash and 200 dash) and Macey Miller (discus and shot put). Other Tigers winners were Anna Williams (100 hurdles), Mallory Kixmiller (high jump), Scarlett Olson (pole vault) and the 4×100 relay.
