Tennis: Westfield beats Noblesville, University falls to Cathedral

The Westfield girls tennis team beat Noblesville 4-1 Wednesday in a dual meet.

The Shamrocks got singles wins from No. 2 Juliette Grilliot 6-2, 6-4 and No. 3 Addi Kooi 7-5, 6-4. In doubles, No. 1 Jenna Berry and Bella Rivera were 6-3, 6-3 winners and No. 2 doubles Bri Saylor and Carlie Lukowiak won 6-1, 6-1.

No. 1 singles Bella Duncan won for the Millers; she was tied 3-3 with Isabella Norris when Norris retired due to injury.

University fell to No. 16 Cathedral 3-2 on Thursday.

The Trailblazers’ wins came from No. 3 singles Anisha Patel 4-6, 6-4, 11-9, and No. 1 doubles Claire Kilgore and Kara Wang 6-4, 6-2. No. 1 singles Laurel Buttrick fell to Izzy Carrillo 5-7, 6-0, 6-2. No. 2 singles Duygu Arseven fell 6-4, 6-3 and No. 2 doubles Sruti Atluri and Lauren Quinto lost 6-4, 6-0.
