Amy Nixon Doman of Carmel to serve as National Court Reporters Foundation Trustee
The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF), the philanthropic arm of the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), has announced that Amy Doman, RDR, CRR, CRI, of Carmel has been selected to serve a three-year term on its Board of Trustees.
NCRA is the country’s leading organization representing stenographic court reporters, captioners, and legal videographers. The announcement was made at the 2026 NCRA Conference & Expo that took place July 16 to 18 in Bellevue, Wash.
Doman holds the nationally recognized professional certifications of Registered Diplomat Reporter (RDR), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR), and Certified Reporting Instructor (CRI). She has worked as a court reporter for 35 years, and is also certified to work in Missouri, California, Illinois, Texas, and Washington state. Doman is the owner of Doman Reporting.
At the national level, Doman has served on a number of NCRA committees including the NCRA A to Z®; Technology; Member, Marketing & Outreach; Written Knowledge; and Nominating Committees. She has also served on the Association’s REAL Task Force and currently serves on its Test Advisory Committee.
The court reporting and captioning professions offer viable career choices that do not require a four-year college degree and yet offer good salaries, flexible schedules, and interesting venues. There is currently an increasing demand for more reporters and captioners to meet the growing number of employment opportunities available nationwide and abroad.
