Lights out! Learn about rare eclipses at Carmel Planetarium

Sudden darkness on a sunny day? The moon turning deep red?

With less than two months to go until the Total Solar Eclipse, the Carmel High School Planetarium Club invites you to come learn about rare and awesome eclipse occurrences.

Explore fascinating stories about the rare and awesome eclipses. This is a multimedia extravaganza taking place in the Carmel Planetarium. Dr. Melinda Soares-Furtado will narrate the recorded portion or the show. She is an astrophysicist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The 45-minute presentations will take place at 7 and 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8 in the Carmel High School Planetarium. Enter through the main entrance of the school on Main Street, walk past the Dale Graham Auditorium, and turn right. Doors will open 30 minutes before show time. No one will be admitted after the program begins. Children aged 12 years and younger should be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for children aged 5 and up.
