Larry Edward Sullivan

October 16, 1947 – October 27, 2020

Larry Edward Sullivan, 74, Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 27, 2020 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. Born October 16, 1947 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Herman C. and Martha I. Sullivan (Fulton) Mullin.

Larry spent the majority of his working career as a projectionist for various movie theaters. His love of tinkering, combined with 25 years of experience in the industry, gave him the ability to fix just about any problem that would arise with the equipment. The fuel that kept Larry going all those years was his coffee. Whether the temperature outside was 105 degrees or 10 below, it didn’t matter; there was always a cup within reach.

After the passing of his stepfather, Larry devoted his time to taking care of his mother. He assisted with her daily routines and never missed a chance to help mom out in the garden. The old saying “you get what you give and reap what you sow” was never more accurately portrayed than in Larry’s life. The care and love that he put into the world was returned to him in a most unusual way – through his pet cats. Whenever Larry would pass out, either from a hypoglycemic reaction or a spike in his blood sugar, his cats would alert to the situation and find whatever way possible to wake him up.

Larry is survived by his stepsister, Janice Brown (Larry), Frankton; nieces and nephews, Brittany Mullin, Morgan Mullin, Tony Fulton and Lisa Keefe (John); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Elizabeth Keefe, Rebecca Keefe and Samuel Keefe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Clayton Mullin; sister, Gisele E. Mullin; and brother, Eric Mullin.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan, with visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Mundy Cemetery in Sheridan. Reverend James McBryant will be officiating.
