Jonathan Duane Tongate, Westfield, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 18, 2023. John was born on February 8, 1960, to Jerry Richard & Johnsie May (Smith) Tongate in Greenfield, Ind. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Wayne.
John was an amazing father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. John worked for Ace-Air Inc. for over 27 years and was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Local 20.
John loved his family and friends, and he loved the time he got to spend with them. He loved to cook out, help out with projects, always loved to polish a Harley out at L.A. Cycles, and he loved his routine of taking Paiton to school and playing I-spy the whole way.
John is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, Patricia (Messer) Tongate, two sons, Jon-Paul and Matthew; three grandchildren, Jordyn Leslie, Brooklynn Kelly, and Paiton Lucille; a great-granddaughter, Emersyn Quinn; and his siblings, George David, Margaret Ruth, and Richard Allen.
He was loved very much and will be greatly missed … often!
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
