Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance announces that Spenser Kersey has joined the company as director of financial planning and analysis.

In this position, Kersey will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team in supporting the organization through budgeting, financial forecasting, and broader strategic analysis. He will work closely with business leaders across the company to connect financial data with operational decision-making, helping ensure the organization continues to move forward with clarity and confidence.

“I am looking forward to expanding the impact of my team beyond budgeting functions,” Kersey said. “We will be supporting more strategic efforts, and I’m looking forward to assisting the business in every way possible. What really excited me is the opportunity to shape what the Financial Planning and Analysis team becomes at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.”

Kersey said he hopes to serve as a connector between finance and other departments across the business, helping ensure numbers and strategy work hand in hand.

“My goal will be to support and strengthen the processes already in place while adding strategic thinking through business decisions, competitive analysis and market insight,” Kersey said.

Kersey earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Purdue University and his MBA with a concentration in finance from Ball State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Indiana.

Originally from Lowell, Ind., Kersey now lives in Noblesville with his wife, Sarah. The couple can often be found at the Noblesville Farmers Market on Saturday mornings during the summer, where Sarah sells baked goods through her side business, The Hangry Baker. They enjoy exploring new restaurants and traveling together. Whether it’s around town or across the globe, they’re always looking for new experiences. In his remaining free time, Kersey enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
