A fast start was exactly what the Hamilton Heights girls basketball team was looking for Saturday, Jan. 17 when it welcomed the Tipton Blue Devils.
The Huskies jumped out early and kept it rolling on the way to a 65-28 rout of their neighbors to the north.
Heights made quick work in the first to get up 22-6 through the first eight minutes.
They would double up the Blue Devils 14-7 to take a 36-13 lead to halftime.
With their feet still on the gas pedal, the Huskies posted a 17-3 third for a 53-16 score.
The two played to a 12-12 tie in the fourth, helping Heights to a 37-point victory.
Scoring for Hamilton Heights defined balance as they wound up with six players scoring eight or more.
Addison Blum led all scorers with 17 points. She made 6-for-10 from the floor, including 5 of 8 from downtown.
Riley Suarez and Kamryn Rhoton both scored nine and the trio of Bayleigh Eisele, Stella Taylor and Abi Hilfiker all added eight.
Hamilton Heights (14-4) next hosts Huntington North (6-12).
