Members of the Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) Board of School Trustees represented the district this week at events hosted by the Indiana School Boards Association in Indianapolis.

Board President Tiffany Pascoe served as HSE Schools’ voting delegate at ISBA’s annual Delegate Assembly on Oct. 5 at the Indiana Convention Center. As the district’s designated delegate, Pascoe represented the board in discussions and votes on matters affecting school governance and public education across Indiana.

During the assembly, delegates approved ISBA’s annual budget, a slate of officers and directors, and Legislative Priorities and Foundational Statements for the 2027 Indiana General Assembly. Those priorities will help guide ISBA’s advocacy efforts during the upcoming legislative session.

Board members Sarah Parks-Reese, Latrica Schooley, and Suzanne Thomas represented HSE Schools at the ISBA/IAPSS Annual Fall Conference, also held in Indianapolis.

The conference brings together school board members, superintendents, and education leaders from across Indiana for professional learning, collaboration, and discussions about issues facing public schools. Sessions provide opportunities for school leaders to learn from experts and one another on topics related to governance, leadership, and district operations.

“The school board members who served as delegates this year are to be commended for representing the interests of their students, families, and taxpayers,” ISBA Executive Director Terry Spradlin said. “The decisions made by delegates help ensure that local voices are heard at the state level through ISBA.”
