‘Hounds dominate LC

Carmel dominated Lawrence Central 79-51 on the road Friday for a Metropolitan Conference victory.
The Greyhounds took care of business early, leading 20-9 in the first quarter. The Bears put up a little resistance in the second period, but Carmel still held a 37-24 advantage at halftime. The ‘Hounds outscored LC 24-8 in the third to put the game away.
Kate Clarke scored 21 points, pulled seven rebounds and handed out six assists. Riley Pennington added 17 points, pulled eight rebounds and made four steals.
Bridget Dunn earned a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Emily Roper collected six rebounds and blocked three shots. Bre Bolles dished out four assists.
Carmel is 2-2 in MIC play and 6-6 overall. The Greyhounds next play Thursday at Kokomo.
