Health officials release COVID-19 death data

On Thursday, Hamilton County health officials released additional data on COVID-19 deaths.

Health officials first explained six of the 11 COVID-19 related deaths reported at county long-term care facilities did occur at the same facility. County officials would not identify the facility.

The health department has now released the number of COVID-19 deaths that have occurred in the county by zip code.

The most deaths, 13, have occurred in the Clay Township area (zip codes of 46032 and 46033). Eleven of those deaths were in the 46032 zip code, which primarily encompasses areas of Carmel west of Keystone Avenue.

The Fishers area, 46037 and 46038, has recorded a total of eight deaths.

Noblesville zip codes of 46060 and 46062 each have one death.

Washington Township, primarily the Westfield area, has two recorded deaths.

In northern Hamilton County, Jackson Township has seen one death in the 46031 zip code area.

No COVID-19 deaths were reported in the Adams Township zip code of 46069.

County officials declined the Reporter’s request for total number of COVID-19 cases by zip code. Health Department officials said, “We are not providing the number of cases by city/town or by township or by zip code as per the policy adopted by the Hamilton County Board of Health pertaining to HIPAA.”

The Health Department also announced its will be releasing additional demographics today, including COVID-19 cases by gender and age.

  1. don’ t seniors have a right to know if the facility where their loved one is in. has any cases or deaths of residents. no names mentioned of residents of course
