On Wednesday evening, Nov. 4, Indiana Governor Mike Braun released this statement following the change in Republican leadership in the Indiana General Assembly.

Congratulations to Senate President Pro Tem-elect Chris Garten and Speaker-elect Ben Smaltz on their new leadership roles. Over the years, we have worked together to deliver results on issues important to Hoosier families, and I am eager to continue that collaboration.

As we look ahead, our shared focus must remain on addressing the kitchen table concerns facing hardworking Hoosiers, lowering costs, increasing opportunity, and ensuring affordability remains at the center of our work together.
