Girls soccer: Sheridan wins on Senior Night, Timme sets quickest goal record

The Sheridan girls soccer team had a memorable Senior Night game on Thursday, as the Blackhawks beat Crawfordsville 4-1.
Cecilia Timme scored Sheridan’s first goal 13 seconds into the game, setting a new record for the quickest time for a first goal. The old record was 16 seconds, set 15 years ago by Kayla Brazzel.
Timme would score a second goal, with Berkley Williams and Emily Weddington both getting one goal. Williams and Emma Alexander both handed out one assist. Hailey Godby made seven saves. Blackhawks coach Brian Prange said his team dominated the whole game with its “passing and finding passing lanes for the girls to run through.”
The game also featured a toy drive for Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, and the ‘Hawks are thanking everyone that attended and donated a toy.
Sheridan is 5-4 and hosts Eastern on Monday.

Hamilton Heights, ranked No. 8 in 2A, fell to 2A No. 2 Bishop Chatard 6-1 on Thursday.
Cassidy Felger scored the Huskies’ goal, with Ella Hickok making the assist. Goalkeeper Jenn Houser had 10 saves.
It was the first loss of the year for Heights, which is now 11-1. The Huskies play at Northwestern on Tuesday.

University dropped a 2-0 game to Tipton on Thursday.
The Trailblazers are 5-6 and host Sheridan on Tuesday.
