Girls soccer: Millers get big HCC win, Royals beat Bulldogs

The Noblesville girls soccer team scored a big Hoosier Crossroads Conference win on Saturday by taking care of 3A No. 7 Brownsburg 3-0.
Carly Hudnall scored a goal in the first half for the 3A No. 3 Millers. Jenna Chatterton then sent an assist to Lauren Chatterton, who put it in the net for Noblesville’s second goal. Ellie Jaensson got the Millers’ third goal in the 74th minute of the game.
Noblesville is 4-0-1 in HCC play and 7-1-2 overall. The Millers host 3A No. 4 Carmel on Monday.

Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 1 in 3A, won its third game in four days by beating Crown Point 5-1 on Saturday.
The Class 3A No. 20 Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game, but the Royals answered with three goals by halftime. Taylor Pozzebon scored first, assisted by Ava Keaffaber, then Layla Brown got two goals, both assisted by Claire Wilkinson.
“Claire earns player of the game on her two assists but just hustled every minute she was on the field,” said HSE coach Greg Davidson.
Nathalie McLeish scored next, assisted by Ashley Wilson. Ashlyn Freeman scored Southeastern’s fifth goal on a steal.
The Royals are 10-1-1 and play at McCutcheon on Monday.
