Girls golf: Four county teams pick up easy dual victories

The Hamilton Heights girls golf team put together a solid dual meet win on Thursday, beating Lewis Cass 169-197 at Logansport Golf Club.
The Huskies’ Sydni Zebrauskas was the meet medalist, carding a 37. Right behind her was Rebekah Steffen with a score of 38. Kaylee Rhoton added a 45, Anna Rickey carded a 49 and Lola Wilson scored 51.

Hamilton Southeastern easily won a three-team match at The Legends in Franklin on Thursday.
The Royals scored a 164, ahead of Greenwood’s 217 and Roncalli’s 227. Cora Zink earned medalist honors for Southeastern with a 38. Ella Bui added a 39. Gabby Willard scored 43, while Kaley McHaffie and Lauren Stewart both added 44s.

Top-ranked Carmel also cruised to victory in a three-team match, this one at Plum Creek Golf Course on Thursday.
The Greyhounds scored 145 to Cathedral’s 201 and Brebeuf Jesuit’s 202. Claire Swathwood was the meet medalist with a two under par 34, making three birdies in her round.
Michaela Headlee added an even par 36, making one birdie, while Sydney Longstreth had two birdies on her way to a 37. Katie Kuc scored a 38.
“It’s been a long week for the girls, playing three matches in three days in the extreme heat,” said Carmel coach Kelly Kluesner. “It was nice to see them finish with a win and a great team score.”

Noblesville won a dual meet with Greenfield-Central 168-186 Thursday at Harbour Trees.
Sarah Brenneman led the Millers with a 41. Erin Burt and Jordan Adam both scored 42s, while Taylor Caldwell and Caroline Whallon both carded 43s.
