First 50 customers will be given free succulents

Ginger Root Plant Company, a local pop-up plant shop, is opening its first brick-and-mortar location on Saturday, Sept. 20 in downtown Carmel. Plant lovers and beginners alike are invited to celebrate this exciting milestone with a day full of greenery, community and giveaways.
To mark the occasion, Ginger Root Plant Company will gift a free succulent to the first 50 customers through the door, starting at 11 a.m. Visitors can explore the shop’s curated collection of houseplants, handmade local pots, plant care products, and lifestyle goods from local, women-owned businesses.

“We’re so excited to open our doors and share our love of plants with the community year-round,” Owner Liz Ford said. “This shop is about more than just plants. It’s about sharing knowledge, authenticity and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels empowered to grow.”
The store is located at 211 W. Main St., Suite 101, right next to Anthony’s Chophouse. The grand opening will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, and normal store hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Since 2021, Ginger Root Plant Company has participated in numerous community events including the Carmel Farmers Market, Indiana Peony Festival, and Carmel Pride, to name a few.
