GC holds off Tigers to reach final

Guerin Catholic advanced to the championship game of its own Class 3A Sectional 27 Saturday, holding off Lebanon 38-34 at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles got off to a good start, leading 13-3 after one quarter. Katie Koger scored seven points in that period. Guerin Catholic then led 22-5 at halftime. The Tigers outscored the Golden Eagles 13-4 to cut GC’s lead to 26-18, but the Golden Eagles were able to hold Lebanon off in the fourth. Kathryn Loso scored six points in that quarter.
Koger led Guerin Catholic with 14 points, including two 3s, while Loso scored 12 points.
The Golden Eagles are 14-10 and play Bishop Chatard Tuesday in the championship. The Trojans beat Brebeuf Jesuit 46-29 in the other semi-final.
